WAFU B: Flying Eagles Face Niger Republic on Sunday By Niyi Busari Nigeria's national U20 team will on Sunday go toe to toe with their Niger Republic counterparts in the ongoing WAFU B U-20 Championship at the Stade Municipal by 4:00 pm, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The tournament kicked off on Thursday with the hosts, Togo lost 0-1 to Mali in the second game of the match-day 1 while Senegal whipped Burkina Faso 2-0 in the first match. Flying Eagles who are drawn in the Group B will not taste action until Sunday due to the withdrawal of Benin Republic before the Commencement of the Championship in Lome, Togo. However, Flying Eagles two remaining Group B foes, Ghana and Niger Republic will slug it out on Friday at the Stade Municipal by 5:30 pm, while Nigeria is drawn bye. Flying Eagles second match comes up next Wednesday against their arch-rivals Ghana by 4:00 pm at the Stade Municipal. Two top teams from the two groups (group A and B) automatically qualify for the semi finals of the 2018 WAFU B tournament.
