By Sampson Adedeji

The Sparrow Hawks of Togo on Sunday confirmed their superiority over Nigeria's Eagles B team in the ongoing WAFU cup match currently in Thies, Senegal.

BSN reports that Togo had earlier last weekend defeat the Nigeria side 4-1 in the first leg of the 2020 of the African Nations Championship qualifier in Lome,

Eagles B had nursed the ambition of turning the table against the Togolese and avenge the defeat but it turned out to be another defeat.

Moise Adjah netted the first goal in the 16th minute but Lobi star forward Sikiru Alimi leveled the scores for Nigeria in the 33rd minute.

Ama Tchoutchoui restored Togo's lead in the 43rd minute and ensured they lead into the half time.

The second half resumed with Eagles piling pressure on Togo but the French speaking country held on and secured the maximum 3 points.
