WAFU U17: Amoo Seeks Support For Golden Eaglets Ahead Cote d'Ivoire Clash
By Sampson Adedeji
Head coach of the Nigeria's Golden Eaglets, Fatai Amoo has urged Nigerians in Togo and at home to rally behind the team as they start their campaign in the regional tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigeria side departed the country on Sunday and arrived Lome later on the day to continue preparations for the competition.
The team is lodged at Hotel Novela Star at the outskirt of Lome and after having lunch, the players later had a light training/ walkout at the beach to shake–off any jet lag among the players.
While speaking to the NFF media, Amoo said they wanted the players to rest well in order to be ready for the clash against Coted'ivoire.
"We wanted the players to shake–off the travel stress and get their bodies physically conditioned for the task ahead against Ivory Coast and the focus is to win the game.
“We want Nigerians here in Togo and back home to support the team. The players are determined, very eager to learn and we hope for a favourable result against Ivory Coast on Wednesday,” Amoo told NFF.
Nigeria is placed in the same group with Coted'ivoire and Ghana.
