  WAFU U17: Cote d'Ivoire Defeat Ghana For Golden Eaglets To Pick Semifinal By Niyi Busari The Baby Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire defeated Ghana 3-1 in the last group B game of the ongoing WAFU U17 championahip in Togo to pick the semifinal ticket, BSNSports.com.ng can report. The win, also helped the five-time world champions (Golden Eaglets) to be the last team to pick the fourth semifinal ticket. Nigeria had lost 0-1 to Baby Elephants in the group B opener before playing a 1-1 draw with Ghana. To qualify, the defending champions put their hope on today's result that Ivory Coast should beat Ghana more than one goal. The Starlets of Ghana needed just a draw to qualify for the semifinals but their 1-3 lost to Cote d'Ivoire on Tuesday ensured that their dreams of playing in the CAF U17 African Nations Cup has ended. Burkina Faso, Niger, Cote d'Ivoire and Nigeria are the four semifinalists. The two finalists qualified for the 2021 CAF U17 African Nations Cup. Cote d'Ivoire topped group B with 6 points while Nigeria came second with just one point.
