WAFU U17: Cote d'Ivoire Defeat Niger To Set Up Nigeria Final

Baby Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire have a slim win over Niger Republic to reach the 2021 WAFU U17 Cup final, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The group B leaders in the second semifinals on Friday pipped group A runners up, Niger Republic (1-0), to set up a final battle with the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria.
The win means, Cote d'Ivoire U17 national team has won all the three matches they've played in the tournament. Having pipped Nigeria 1-0 and defeated Ghana 3-1 to top group B before the 1-0 over Niger Republic.
On the other hand, Fatai Amoo’s wards started the competition on a shaky note losing by the odd goal to Cote d’Ivoire, but then were held to a 1-1 draw by Ghana in their second game in the three-team Group B. They looked to be on their way home until Cote d’Ivoire trashed Ghana 3-1 to allow the Eaglets slip into the last four.
Golden Eaglets and Baby Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire will battle for the title on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Stade de Kegue, Lome, Togo.
The two finalists have booked their tickets for the 2021 CAF U17 African Nations Cup in Morocco.
