  WAFU U20: Flying Eagles' Hope Of Playing At U20 AFCON, World Cup Dashed By Niyi Busari The Junior Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire 1-0 win over Ghana on Saturday at the ongoing WAFU Zone B U20 championship in Benin Republic ended the hopes of Nigerians of hoisting their country's flag in Mauritania, host of CAF U20 AFCON, BSNSports.com.ng can report. Satellites of Ghana who have already qualified for the semifinal of the zonal competition after their slim win over Nigeria lost their second group game to Ivory Coast. The result means both Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire progressed to the semifinals as Flying Eagles of Nigeria who finished bottom of group B with one point will have to bid farewell to the U20 African Nations Cup billed for Mauritania where teams will fight for the FIFA U20 World Cup. Cote d'Ivoire topped the group with four point from two matches while Ghana came second with three points. Ghana and Ivory Coast have now joined Burkina Faso and Niger Republic in the semi final of the competition. In the semi pairs which kick off on 15th December, group B leaders, Cote d'Ivoire will take on group A runners up, Niger Republic while Ghana face Burkina Faso in the battle for the final ticket.
