WAFU U20 Zone B Cup: "We Will Beat Nigeria Again" - GFA Boss

As the WAFU U20 competition set to kick off this weekend, the president of Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr Kurt Edwin Okraku, has stated that Ghana's U20 Black Satelites are capable of beating Nigeria again, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Ghana U20 team are currently preparing for WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations tournament in Benin which serves as the qualifications to the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Mr. Okraku urged the side to leave a memorable mark in the regional tournament in Benin during his final address to the team at their camp base in Prampram.
"We expect Ghana to be represented by boys who are proud to wear our jerseys who will walk through the tunnel onto the pitch chest out to fight for glory for our country," he said.
"It’s been a long while since we made the U20 World Cup. And that history must be broken. That history must be broken by this group of players here.
"We play against Nigeria and Ivory Coast… these are sides we have beaten over and over before and we believe we have the quality to beat them and to win the group," he said.
The U20 WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations tournament is scheduled to start from 5 December to 20 December, 2020 in Benin.
The winners of the championship pick automatic qualification ticket to the CAF 2021 U20 African Nations Cup.
