Waldrum Identifies Potential Falconets Players For Invitation By Our Reporter Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum, has contacted the Falconets head coach, Christopher Danjuma about availability of some his players being invited to the Super Falcons camp ahead of the African Nations Cup clash against Ivory Coast. Falcons Head Coach, according to Prompt News was satisfied with performance of some of the U20 Women's national team players when he watched them play in a friendly match during their camping in Abuja. Waldrum whose Falcons are also holding a nine days training camp in Abuja has already identified a handful of talented young players he will invite to the senior team to compete for shirts with some Falcons veterans who may no longer give him what he wants at the moment. The American-born gaffer has taken more than keen interest in the Falconets as he watched their training sessions since Monday when his own team started training at the same FIFA Goals Project Pitch at Package B of Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. Waldrum who on Saturday watched Falconets draw 1-1 with A S Roma Boys Academy, Abuja in a training match at FIFA Goals Project Pitch is expected to invite the identified players when Falcons resume camp early next year ahead of the two-leg African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) Morocco 2022 qualifier ties against Cote d’ Ivoire’s ‘La Elephants’. A member of the team who pleaded anonymity to Prompt News said Waldrum has already sounded out Falconets Head Coach, Christopher Musa Danjuma about allowing the Falcons prospects to train with the “big girls” but was asked to excuse them for now. The Falconets themselves are travelling to Congo Brazaville next week for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup African qualifier match. The Nigerian team eliminated Central African Republic (CAR) to qualify for the third round. Meanwhile, Waldrum who is determined to rejig the entire Super Falcons squad was seen on Saturday morning and evening supervising the training sessions of the team even as the 28 players currently in Abuja camp are working hard to impress the American soccer tactician.
