Water FC to Complete New Stadium in 1 Year... Makanjuola By Admin The sole proprietor of Nigeria’s third-tier league side, Water FC, Nureni Makanjuola has revealed that the proposed 2,000 capacity stadium in Abuja will be completed in 2019 www.bsnsports.com.ng reports The landmark stone-laying foundation of Water FC stadium located on the Apo-Dutse district of Abuja took place on Saturday and had in attendance a representative of the Minister for Youth and Sports Solomon Dalung and members of the National Assembly. Speaking at the ceremony, President of the team and renowned football intermediary, Makanjuola expressed confidence that the project will not only help nurture sporting talents but also help build young minds ready to take to sports . Water FC are currently competing in Nigeria’s third-tier league, the National League One (NLO). “I feel very fulfilled that this is about to start and in 2019 we will complete this mini stadium by God’s grace,” Makanjuola told CSN. “It is a big event for us and it will be one of the very few private stadiums in the country when completed. It will be a 1,000-seater stadium and that is where we will play our home games.” When completed, it will be the second privately-built and owned stadium in Nigerian league system, after the FC IfeanyiUbah stadium in Owerri.
