Chidoka optimistic, assures of more inclusive FCT SWAN By Ikenna Okonkwo Newly elected Chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), FCT Chapter, Ndubeze Chidoka has assured members of an all inclusive administration while fancying the future of Sports Writing within the Nation’s capital. Chidoka whose message was conveyed on Friday after his emergence reiterated that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring that SWAN in Abuja remain a united force in pursuing its goals. The seasoned Broadcaster who maintained that no one would be left behind by the current Executive, re-echoed that training, re-training and general welfare of members would be paramount at all times. Expanding on his acceptance speech, the former Vice Chairman particularly hinted that creation of functional FCT SWAN website, rotational congress and establishment of Advisory Committee (comprising of former SWAN Chairmen and practicing Veterans) will soon be activated. While enjoining members to always criticize the incumbent leadership constructively added; “I’m thankful for your support and trust for this new administration, I assure you that we will always maintain a synergy between the sports administrators in the FCT and the Association. “We will also concentrate on improving members’ welfare. We will try our best to ensure that the issue of welfare will be improved. But this is going to be a collective effort.” He however thanked the immediate and other past Chairmen for their untiring effort towards uplifting the association.
