Former Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder and captain John Mikel Obi might be playing in the English football if the reports coming from England is to be considered.

The 33-year-old has been without a club since leaving Turkish club Trabzonspor by mutual consent in March, BSN Reports.

It is understood that promotion chasing West bromich Albion are one of several English clubs who are exploring the possibility of making a move for the enforcer over the coming weeks.

Mikel’s last stint in England came with Middlesbrough in 2019, where he registered 19 appearances and one goal over the course of a six month spell.

The Nigeria international has 89 caps for his Nigeria , and has won two Premier Leagues, four FA Cups, and a Champions League over the course of a distinguished career.
