Why Aribo Is Having Outstanding Performance - Gerrard

The head coach of the Scottish Premier League side Glasgow Rangers, Steven Gerrard has explained the reason Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo is having a scintillating display, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to Stephen Gerrard stiff competition in the club led to his excellent performance last season, the same way he is expecting to shine in the 2020/21 season

Since he joined the Scottish side, Aribo has been one of the star performer for the club scoring goals to help the team win matches.

The former Chalrton Athletic player was awarded the young player of the season for the club last season and also picked the award for the goal of the season.

The Liverpool legend explained that Aribo just like other attacking player in the team took advantage when he was given opportunity in the club.

"We work a lot on giving players like Joe (Aribo) the licence to be free and go express themselves but that is for all the attacking players.

"When we are in the position we want to make it as difficult as possible for other teams," he stated.

Rangers will be banking on Aribo current form to continue its winning streak when they face St. Johnstone on Wednesday.
