Why I Said Nigerian Journalists Are Unprofessional - Rohr

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has come out to clear the air on the reason he said that Nigerian journalists are unprofessional.
The Franco-German tactician was quoted in Germany in 2018 before the FIFA World Cup in Russia to have described Nigerian journalists as unprofessional compared to their European counterparts.
When www.bsnsports.com.ng correspondent asked the Super Eagles coach on why he used such word to describe journalists who have strived to portray him in good light to the world. The tactician who couldn't recollect that he made such statement when he was asked, after a pause, he later recollected and when he did, he said a Nigerian journalist was trying to force and impose a player on him to be part of the squad to the mundial.
In his words, "I never said that, is not my words and I don't know where you have this information from," he queried the journalist
After a while, he recollected, then he said, "When one (Nigerian) journalist was telling me to pick one player then, I told him it's not professional to take a player because you (journalist) want him, so, it is not professional to take player under pressure ."
Nigeria's Super Eagles crashed out in the group stage of the FIFA World Cup in 2018. The three-time African champions lost the first match to lost two matches (Croatia and Argentina) in the first and the last group matches while the Rohr-led team defeated Iceland.
