  Why I Will Work With NFF Covid-19 Task Force Committee For Free - Barrister Green By Niyi Busari Former Chairman, Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Barrister Chris Green said despite not being contacted by the NFF before his name was shortlisted as a member of the Covid-19 Committee, he will work with the Task Force for free, BSNSports.com.ng can report. The Chairman, Rivers State Football Association in an exclusive interview with BSN Sports stated that the reason he is accepting to do the job for free is to prove to those that said he's being bought that he's not a commodity and can never be bought over. "I don't even know that my name is on any Committee. I just received call from Dr Akinbinu. Even though, I have not seen the letter of appointment, I may not have accepted it. But not contacting me is not a problem, I am not complaining about it but what I read on Social media made me to change my mind to accept it and will work for free of charge. "A journalist called me and asked whether I have been bought and silent due to the appointment and I told him, I am not a commodity and cannot be purchased." He assured Nigerians that he will continue to advise and criticise Nigeria football when necessary adding that the appointment can not stop him from clamouring the best for Nigeria football "The appointment will not stop me from saying the truth about Nigeria football. When I was inside NFF, I criticised them, is it now that I am no longer there that I won't? He asked rhetorically. "People who are saying I am being bought should grow beyond mediocrity because the only reason I want to do the job (for free) is to prove them wrong of the allegation that I have been bought. He clarified why he rejected the the former appointment by the NFF when he was appointed as a member of ad-hoc committee on facility. "I have rejected being a member of NFF Committee before because I am not just cool with it." Nigeria Football Federation on Monday announced 14 members of Covid 19 Task Force Committee where Shehu Gusau is the Chairman.
