Why Nigeria Will Not Participate in Para-sports at All African Games..... Ministry of Sports Due to budgetary restrictions to ensure that Nigeria carefully channel her resources to sports where the Federations are able to finance and sponsor their athletes to all African Games, the ministry has arrived at featuring in 16 sports at the All African Games in 2019,BSN Sports reports. Director of Federations and Elite Athletes Department (FEAD), Tayo Oreweme who declared the statement during a meeting with Secretaries and technical directors of federations in Abuja that 16 sports have been penciled down to take part in the next year's All African Games, she added that Nigeria will not in the Para-sports. "Para-sports has been knocked out of the Games thereby removing a strong medal drive, but I know we also have a strong history with the able-bodied. Our aim is to come out in the top position of the African Games for the first time outside the country." She said
