Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung has said that he fought cabals in sports circles to a standstill so that his successors will not be intimidated, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Dalung in an exclusive interview with www.bsnsports.com.ng added that he has liberated the ministry of sports from the untouchable cabals in the ministry.

"When i came in as a new minster, i said i am an undertaker and that i will step on toes and i did exactly that because i don't want the next minister to be intimidated by cabals. Dalung told BSN Sports.

"I sacrificed myself so that nobody can intimidate the next minister because i have dealt with the untouchable. Before i came as minister of sports, no one dare the Nigeria Football Federation and also National Sports Commission the way i did and left unhurt but i did it and run my full tenure. Nobody could remove or intimidate me."

"I liberated ministry of sports therefore, no one can dare Dare Sunday among the cabals because i have rendered them powerless, he concluded.

Dalung however wishes the minister of sports, Sunday Dare well and prayed that he has a successful tenure as he steers the ship of sports in Nigeria.
