Why Ola Aina Didn't Feature Against Arsenal

By Emediong Silver.

The English Premier league returned to the Craven Cottage after just one season off. It was a bitter-sweet-experience for Scott Parker and his boys. First, the excitement was the return to the English Premier League , on the other hand, they lost to a very compact Arsenal side despite dominating most of the game, patched with the eye-catchy game Scott deployed against Mikel Arteta.

Goals from Alexander Lacazete, new signing Gabriel Magalhaes and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang gave Arsenal three points and theee goals. However, the wait to see Aina plays in the English Premier League continues.

Scott Parker had this to say on the failure to involve the Nigerian International despite taking part in two pre-season games against Novara and Pro Vercelli before heading to the English capital to join his new club. Scott said:
"Today, this game’s come too early for those players; Alphonse (Areola), Lemina, the two boys (Kenny Tete and Ola Aina) we literally just signed," Parker said to Fulham's official website post-match. "They probably fit into the same category as Mitro.

"I’m pleased that he got 30 minutes, along with Anguissa, and on Wednesday against Ipswich Town, we can get some more minutes into these players."

Ola will be hoping to get some minutes when the English Premier returns next week.
