By Niyi Busari Super Falcons head coach, Thomas Dennerby has revealed the reason behind Super Falcons 8-0 humiliation to France Women national team in an international friendly match in France. He said he was satisfied with Super Falcons performance despite the 8-0 bashing. The former Sweden coach admitted that the result was not what they planned for but was quick to remind Nigerians that his team had only 24 hours to prepare for the game. He also blamed it on fatigue brought about by the change in flight schedule. He said that the invited foreign based players arrived Paris a day to the game while the home based that suppose to fly from Nigeria to Paris were moved to Turkey before leaving for Paris due to change in flight schedule, which according to him was responsible for the 8-0 bashing. He added that France is one of the best women football country in the world. "Super Falcons players have good performance in the friendly game against France, we need to understand that France has one of the best women team in the world. Before the game, we have problems with different things around the camp; players arriving late, some of them have not played together, and most importantly, we had only 24 hours to prepare the team for the international friendly game. "The flight from Nigeria to Paris was cancelled so we moved to Turkey and from Turkey to Paris. All these affect the preparation ahead of the match. So, physically and mentally the players were down and tired."
