Why We Signed Oluehi - Pozoalbense Coach Explains

After the capture of Nigeria's Super Falcons goalkeeper, Tochukwu Oluehi, the head coach of the Spain Iberidola side CD Pozoalbense, Manuel Fernandez has explained the reason the Nigeria star is acquired, BSNSports.com.ng reports .

The Spanish side confirmed the signing of 33 year old Nigeria Goalkeeper on Wednesday one a year deal with an option to extend, BSN Reports.

The coach said her experience is needed in building up the confidence and security to improve the club.

"This is a goalkeeper who brings experience and security to the team."

Fernández stresses how important it is to have the goal well covered, "it is essential to have that position with a player as veteran and of such quality as Tochukwu Oluhei", he said.

Tochukwu Oluhei is Super Falcons goalkeeper and one of the best players in Africa with more than 100 international matches.

She has played three World Cup appearances. She was part of Nigeria team to FIFA World Cup in China 2007, Germany 2011 and France 2019.

She has won five African Cups and three gold medals.

It was the revelation of the U-20 World Cup in Russia where its enormous potential was seen, which it has later demonstrated in its long career in women's football.
