Wilfred Ndidi Will Play Against Czech Republic.... Gernot Rohr

Wilfred
By Admin Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi will feature against Czech Republic in their final pre-World Cup friendly on Wednesday at Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion. The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury in Leicester City’s tie with Crystal Palace on April 28 which ruled him out for the remainder of the recently concluded season. The former Genk player missed the Super Eagles friendlies against Congo DR and England. Rohr, who revealed why he did not feature the combative midfielder against the Three Lions, has affirmed that the youngster will play a part when the three-time African champions take on Karel Jarolim’s men. “We need him (Ndidi) but we had a protocol from Leicester and my friend Claude Puel, who gave me very good information with the medical team,” said Rohr after the 2-1 loss to England. “We followed exactly the protocol the medical team by Leicester gave to us. “We don’t think it was the moment for him to play but he will start the next game but I hope if he plays against Czech Republic, he will be fit and ready on June 16.” In Russia, Nigeria will play Croatia, Iceland and Argentina.
