Withdraw Case From Court Or Face Suspension - NFF Orders Kano State FA

Nigeria Football Federation has given the Kano Football Association an ultimatum of seven days to withdraw its case before Kano State High Court or be suspended from all football related activities, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Kano High Court had on Wednesday granted an interlocutory injunction that restrained Kano Football association leadership from parading themselves as officials of the association.

NFF, in a response letter with Ref No. NFF/GEN/385/122 signed by Onoja Joshua Esq. for the General Secretary, to the secretariat of Kano State Football Association after acknowledging a letter from the Association informing the Federation about the Court Order, NFF then, directed that the case should be withdrawn within seven days and failure to comply means Kano state will be suspended from all football related activities including stopping Kano Pillars from all competitions including the ongoing Nigeria league.

"Article 69 of NFF Statute, 2010, provides that 'NFF, its members, players and match officials and players agents will not take any dispute to Ordinary Court unless specifically provided for in this statute and FIFA regulation. Any disagreement shall be submitted to the Jurisdiction of FIFA, CAF, WAFU or NFF. In view of the provision of the NFF Statute that you have subscribed to under Article 10, as a member, you are hereby directed to withdraw the case before Kano State High Court and all other cases within seven days of the receipt of this letter. Failure to comply within the stipulated time, the NFF will invoke the relevant provisions of the Statute to suspend the Kano State Football Association from all football related activities. " the statement reads in part.

"The attendant implication of the above will include suspension of all clubs in Kano state including Kano Pillars FC from participating in any organized League and competition." NFF added.
