Women AfroBasketball: Nigeria in group B with 2 others

Ahead of the 2019 Women AfroBasketball competition, defending champion Nigeria's D'Tigress have been placed in group B alongside Cameroon and Tunisia, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The draw was conducted on Monday evening and 12 teams were placed in 4 groups of 3 teams each with hosts Senegal in group A.

Ivory Coast and Egypt are the other two countries s in group A, the Nigeria side emerged champion in the last edition hosted by Mali.

Group C consists of Mali, Angola and DR Congo while Kenya, Mozambique and Cape Verde are in group D.

The Nigeria team started preparations for the tournament last weekend as the team coach Otis Hughley invited 15 players to camp in Lagos.

The competition is scheduled for Dakar, Senegal from 8th of August to 19th of the same months.
