Women Football Won't Feature in National Sports Festival By Niyi Busari Fans of Women Football across the country will be disappointed when the 2018 National Sports Festival gets underway from December 6 as their preferred sport will not feature in the national event, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Main Organising Committee (MOC) had said that for any sport to feature in the 19th National Sports Festival, at least five states must register to participate in such sport. BSN Sports understands that some states have decided not to participate in any team sports so as to reduce their expenditure. Information reaching our news desk has it that some state governments are trying to save money for 2019 general elections whose campaign commence this year. BSN Sports gathered that only four states were able to register for women football in the 2019 National Sports Festival. The 19th national sports festival commence on December 6 and ends December 16.
