World Athletics Championship Bronze Medalist Receives Ram As Gift

Burkina Faso athletes and World Athletics Championship bronze medalist, Fabrice Zango has been rewarded with a ram by the king of his province, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

BSN Sports reports that Zango set an African record of 17.66m in triple number event and took home the bronze medal—the first ever medal for his country from the World Athletics Championships 

Just earlier this year, Zango set an African record of 17.58m for triple jumping at the Indoor Meeting de Paris.

He was rewarded with a Ram by the king of his province Naba Baongo who is also the king of Mossi.

Zango competed with Christian Taylor, a four-time World Championship winner and his fellow American rival, Will Claye. Taylor took home the gold medal with a distance of 17.92m (his season best) while Claye followed closely in second place with a distance of 17.74m.
