World Cup: Have Confidence in the Super Eagles Goalkeepers... Francis Uzoho Urges Nigerians

By Niyi Busari Deportivo La Coruna of Spain and Super Eagles goalkeeer, Francis Uzoho has said that all the three goalkeepers that will be at the world cup are good and that anyone of them the coach select to be in the goalpost will put up a good performance at the world cup. He urged Nigerians to believe and have confidence in them because they are working hard to do excellently well at the mundial in Russia. He admitted that Nigeria is talented with good goalkeepers and has witnessed some of them since he joined the national team. Francis Uzoho said: "Right from the first time i joined the senior national team, the goalkeepers i have been working with are all good. So, my message to all Nigerians is to have confidence in us because we are equally know what is at stake and we are working hard to make sure we put up a good performance at the world cup. We trained at least twice everyday so that we can be in our best shape so as to do well. So i urge all Nigerians to believe in us" Francis Uzoho made his Super Eagles appearance when he came in to replace Chippa United goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi during the international friendly game against Argentina in Russia. He was calm, made good saves, thus convince the coach and Nigerians that he can be the man between the sticks for the Super Eagles. Following Carl Ikeme sickness, and lacklustre performance from Enyimba goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr found confidence in him and since then the coach has preferred him to other goalkeepers. He may possibly Super Eagles number one in Russia.
