  World Cup Qualifier: Akpoguma Out Of Liberia, Cape Verde Matches Sampson Adedeji Nigeria's Super Eagles and Hoffenheim of Germany defender, Kelvin Akpoguma, has been ruled out of the doubleheader World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The lanky center-back was among the 30 players invited by Coach Gernot Rohr last week for the two vital games. His German Bundesliga club on Monday afternoon confirmed that Akpoguma has been tested positive for Coronavirus and will have to go on isolation. The club further stated that he will not be allow to travel for the qualifiers. " Kevin Akpoguma tested positive for Corona despite being fully vaccinated. He will not make the trip to the Nigerian national team and instead went into quarantine at home. "Kevin Akpoguma is symptom-free and is fine," the club said. Akpoguma who made his debut for Nigeria's Super Eagles in an international friendly against Algeria has netted once this season for Hoffenheim.
