World Taekwondo Delegate Arrives Abuja As 2019 Nigeria Open Starts Friday

All is now set for the first ever Nigeria Taekwondo International open in the Federal Capital Territory Nigeria as the World Taekwondo Delegate safely arrived Abuja Thursday Afternoon.

The world event scheduled for 8th to 10th of February with 15 Countries and more than 152 Athletes set to rumble inside the National stadium Abuja.

According to 'The Gleamer News' almost all registered Countries have arrived the capital city of the most populous black Nation on Earth.

The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation Technical Director Chika Chukuwmerije confirmed that Guadelouape, Ghana, Togo, and Niger Republic arrived with a 37-person contingent.

“Mali’s full team completed their accreditation alongside three athletes from Niger Republic.

“International Referees started arriving – World Taekwondo African Head of Referees [Aly Nour of Egypt]; 9-Taekwondo Black Belt and World Taekwondo Class 1 Referee [Grandmaster Singh Vohra of UK]; Seynabou Diouf of Senegal, Ibrahim Issa Samsou and Hamza Sadikou Sani of Niger Republic; and Chantel Anoh of Cote D’Ivoire.

“Also, the Local Teams and Clubs started Arriving – Lagos, Osun, Kebbi, NSCDC, Michael Opara University, Oyo.

“As more Arrivals of International Athletes, National Athletes, International Referees [from Lesotho, Togo, Kenya, Egypt and Nigeria, Representative of World Taekwondo Africa from Nigeria." Chika said.
