WTT: Aruna Quadri Proud Of His Performance, Hope For Improved Ranking Sampson Adedeji Germany's based Aruna Quadri has said he's proud of his performance despite being knocked out at the ongoing World Table Tennis championship presently going on in Singapore, BSNsports.com.ng can report. Brazil's Hugo Calderano overcame Nigeria's Olympic star 3-1 in the early hours of Tuesday but Quadri is not deterred about the outcome of the game. While reacting to the game, Quadri was happy about his performance and hope it will improve his position in the next ranking. “I am so happy with my performance in this competition particularly to be part of the top 16 tournaments in Singapore as the only African player. "I think I have made my country and Africa proud and I also believe my performance will inspire other African players to aim high in big events like this. "I look forward to the new ranking with the hope that I can gain some steps up the ranking ladder by the end of the year," he said. Quadri is presently the highest-ranked Africa table tennis player and is placed in 13th position.
