Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez has accepted an offer to become the Catalans coach following the sacking of Ronald Koeman.  Koeman was relieved of his duties following Barcelona's 1-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday evening in the LaLiga. That was the second back-to-back defeat for the Catalans following a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in the El Clasico over the weekend. Barcelona has already appointed Sergi Barjuan as the caretaker manager who is set to lead the team until it lands a permanent coach. The latest reports suggest that Xavi is set to be appointed as the coach with the deal due to be confirmed once the agreement is reached to terminate his contract as the manager of the Qatari club Al Sadd. The former Barca ace is reported to have agreed to return to the Nou Camp following talks with the club's president Joan Laporta. The 41-year-old won LaLiga eight times and four Champions League trophies during his stay with the Spanish giants. Xavi departed Barcelona in 2015 where he had won 27 trophies, scoring 85 goals while providing 184 assists.
