Yahaya replaces Babangida as Kano Pillars chairman

Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has appointed Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya to replace Alhaji Tukur Babangida as chairman of Kano Pillars Football club.
Confirming the appointment, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Abba Anwar said the appointment was with immediate effect.
When contacted the newly appointed chairman said he would do his best in moving the club to greater heights.
He said “My slogan is ‘taking Kano pillars to the next level’. I want to assure the people of kano that by the grace of God I will do everything humanly possible to move Kano Pillars to greater height under my stewardship.”
Yahaya, popularly known as John Bull, added that he would consult the previous leaders and die-hard supporters of the club in order to run an all-inclusive government as chairman of the club.
“Kano Pillars under my leadership will prove to the world that African clubs have come of age. I will run an all-inclusive government where all stakeholders will be carried along in all our activities.
“For the players, I want to assure them that I will do everything humanly possible not only to improve their welfare but also sustain the spirit of hard work and commitment among them,” he said.
In a solemn pledge to the governor, Yahaya said “I will never let you down as far as this appointment is concerned.
“I will do my best to make Kano Pillars a very strong team among its peers. The people of Kano will never regret my appointment as chairman of the reigning Aiteo Cup champions.”
