  YSFON, PFAN Partner On Grassroots Football Development By Taofeek LAWAL The Secretary of the Ogun State chapter of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Kehinde Adeyemi, has said that the organization is planning to partner with the newly inaugurated Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN) to develop grassroots football in Nigeria. The Ogun State YSFON Scribe who was in Lagos during the investitures of Tajudeen Disu as the Lagos State YSFON Chairman and Hon. Tajudeen Ajide, the Executive Chairman of Surulere Local Government also as YSFON Grand Patron in the South West declared it is the best time to start to fix Nigeria football through meaningful grassroots football development. His words, "Now that we have Taju Disu in Lagos YSFON, Waheed Lawal in Ogun State, Tajudeen Ajide as YSFON Grand Patron in the South West and we also have Tijani Babangida as the PFAN national president, there should be no excuse for football development failure in the South West and Nigeria as a whole." Adeyemi, an English Football Association trained football psychologist who is also the Director of Sports at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, remarked that he was particularly happy with what he witnessed at the inauguration of PFAN which he described as the best thing to have happened to the Nigerian football this year. He however, enjoined PFAN under the leadership of Tijani Babangida to live up to expectations in the area of players' welfare and football development in general. PFAN last Saturday inaugurated its Board members in Lagos where former SuperEagles winger, Tijani Babangida emerged President, Emmanuel Babayaro and Clement Temile are Secretary General and First Vice President respectively.
