Zoomax FCT Invitational Tourney: FC Digital Foot, TBC Record Second Wins By Our Reporter FC Digital Foot and TBC FC recorded the highest wins in the Matchday 2 of the maiden edition of the ZOOMAX 8-Team Invitational Tournament in Abuja Tuesday. Playing at the Area 3 Play Ground, FC Digital Foot thrashed FC International 3-0 to make it two wins out of two matches in the ongoing tournament. FC Digital Foots three goals were scored by three different players with David Adeyemi opening the flood gate at 14 minutes. Benjamin Oloche consolidated the scoreline in the 37 minute before Shaba Idris’ 53 minute s ttrike ensured that FC International’s spirited fight back did not produce the desired end. Playing at the Old Parade Ground in the lunchtime kickoff, TBC FC consolidated their “tournament favorite” tag as they humbled Karu FC 4-1. Bishop Samuel’s brace in 25th, 52nd minutes; Israel Godwin’s 37th minute strike and 77th minute goal by Masile John ensured that TBC collected six points out of two matches. Although Ishaku Philip scored in the 34 minute to cancel out the opener, TBC ran away with the three points at stake. In other matches, CASMAT FC’s hunt for their first win in the competition suffered a blow after they were handed another defeat by Abees Academy who beat them by an odd goal. Safiyanu Nasir scored the only goal of the match in the 18th minute of first half to ensure that the young lads maintained their 100% match recorded in the tournament. Abees Academy defeated FC International 1-0 in the opener on Monday, it could be recalled. The match between Garki FC and WACO Academy produced the first draw in the tournament after both played out a 1-1 scoreline. WACO Academy took the lead in the first half courtesy of David Albar goal but Garki boys rallied to equalise in the 68th minute through Metu Hassan. The ZOOMAX 8-Team Invitational Tournament enters Matchday 3 on Wednesday with mouthwatering fixtures. Only one match will be played in the morning as FC International battle CASMAT FC at Old Parade Ground at 10am. Two matches will go on simultaneously in both venues by 12noon with a “match of the tournament” fixture between Abees Academy and FC Digital Foot taking place at Area 3 Playing Ground. Both teams have not lost a match and are tied on the log with 6 points although FC Digital Foot have superior goal advantage. In the other match scheduled for same time WACO Academy will slug it out with Karu FC at the Old Parade Ground The final match of the day will see TBC FC take on Garki FC by 2pm at Area 3 Play Ground.
