Ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers, Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has said he expected tough time from Nigeria group opponents, reports.

The three-time Africa champions qualified for the last world cup in Russia with teo games to spare but the coach said the qualification matches may not be as easy as it was in 2018.

While speaking to ElegbeteTV on Youtube, Rohr maintained that despite tough opposition they remained optimistic.

” It was difficult last time, and it will be more difficult this time because, first we must be first in our group, then face first in other group.

“It’s not going to be easy but we are very optimistic.” He said.

“We are working on our group opponents with my assistants , our next opponent will be Liberia and they are young good team,” he added.

Nigeria will play Lone Stars of Liberia on 6th of June before facing Cape Verde and Central African Republic in the match-day  2 and 3 of the group qualifiers.
