Saudi Arabia Site Fee For Anthony Joshua Vs Tyson Fury Bout Rises To $150million

By Admin

The proposed site fee from Saudi Arabia to host Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury is reportedly over $150million.

Contracts are signed for the fight deal but the date and venue are yet to be officially confirmed.

AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn last week explained that both camps have agreed on a site deal, which he said will be finalised in writing very soon.

It has since been reported that this deal is from Saudi Arabia, who previously hosted Joshua’s rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019.

And now, according to ESPN, it can be revealed that the colossal site fee is upwards of $150million.

If finalised as expected, it’s claimed that each boxer will make $75million from the site deal alone, with the rest of the money (several million dollars) set for expenses such as undercard fights.

Joshua and Fury will also rake in millions more through pay-per-view buys and worldwide broadcast deals.

It is understood that both Sky Sports and BT Sport will show the fight on PPV an historic arrangement not seen before in the UK.

Meanwhile in America it is set to be on ESPN PPV with streaming service DAZN taking the global rights everywhere else in the world.

Hearn previously said he hopes AJ vs Fury will obliterate the current record for UK PPV buys and sell over three million.

He also hinted that the PPV price could be increased to £29.95 for this monumental undisputed heavyweight title clash.

In the end, both men appear set to comfortably make nine figures proving their status as bona fide boxing superstars.
