U17 WW/Cup Qualifier: Flamingos Face Guinea In Lagos, As Olowokere Assures On Team Readiness

Ahead of the FIFA U17 Women World Cup qualifier, the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) has confirmed Agege Stadium Lagos, as the venue for the second leg match against Guinea.

Flamingos have been training twice daily under the watchful eyes of coach Bankole Olowokere and two others in the interim at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, pending the appointment of Head coach, BSN Reports.

Guinea will play host to the Nigeria U17 girls at Conakry in the first leg slated for the 27th of February.

The Director of competition of the football body Oyebola Oyebode confirmed the venue of the on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the team assistant coach Bankloe Olowokere as assured Nigerians that the ladies will overcome their counterpart from Guinea.

“We opened this camp with over 30 players, and with other two coaches, we have been screening both the listed players and those who came on their own. Bola told Punch.

I can assure you that we will pick players who would do the country proud by beating their Guineanian counterparts over two legged encounters.

“We are hoping to play some friendly games with some women teams or practice games with some boys clubs to know our readiness for the match,” he concluded.
