Unuanel Names Osun United Squad For 2019 NNL Season
Osun United Football Club has stated their readiness for the new season of the Nigeria National League as the technical crew named its final 29-man squad ahead of the 2018/2019 NNL season.
In a statement signed by the club’s spokesman, Tunde Shamsudeen, the head coach of the Omoluabi Giants, David Samson Unuanel, expressed confidence in the players listed.
The gaffer stated that the quality of players at the team disposal will help the club to achieve its dream of securing promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
DSU maintained that he and his assistants after assembling the players for the team, have no excuses of not getting the needed results desired.
He stated further that the confidence shown to him and his assistants by the management, supporters and the good people of the State of Osun will not be regretted as the team will get its rhythm.
“We have the support of the club President, the board members, the supporters and the good people of the state and I think this will be a season of happiness for Osun United.”
The recruited players include former Akwa United midfielder, Yusuf Adio, Gafar Olafimihan from Ikorodu United, the duo of Best Demua and Mubarak Oye from Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC, Adisa Olaniran from Three (3) SC, Naheem Odugbemi from Fehinty FC, Andrew Kabgat from Luma Hassan FC, Anderson Okekem from Nnewi United FC and the duo of Tolulope Oluwole and Adeyemi Julius from Rising Stars.
Bobga Sambo, Daniel Edeh, David Mark, Suleiman Ajibade, Kolawole Daniel, Habila David and Abdulrahman Abdulrahman, were all recruited from Gidado Football Academy.
Others are Francis Odudu from Dynamite FC, Arinze Okoro from Academy of Stars, and Chukwuma Chigozie from Real Stars FC.
The old players who were named include captain Suraj Sodiq, Nurudeen Lateef, Alaji Rasaq, Mamud Akorede, Chinedu Emmanuel, Afolabi Olatunbosun, Yusuf Sheriff, Osinlowo Anuoluwapo and Adelani Kareem.
