Volleyball: Nigeria, 20 Others Confirm Participation

With the expiration of the legal deadlines set by the Confederation of Volleyball for clubs to confirm their participation in the African Clubs Championship of Men’s Volleyball, Nigeria volleyball team and 20 others across the continent has confirmed their participation, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Chairman Organizing Committee Mohammed Saleh confirmed the number of participating clubs reached 21 teams, each of Tunisia’s Esperance Sports Club and Club Sfaxien.

The Olympic Club of Al-Qulaibi, the Libyan Misratan Federation, Al-Ahly Tripoli Al-Libi, Al-Swahili Al-Libi and Al-Zamalek Al-Masry in addition to two teams from Ethiopia, two teams from Rwanda, 3 Ivorian teams, two teams from Kenya, and a team from Cameroon, Nigeria and Uganda.

Inas Salmi, Executive Director of the Tunisian Volleyball University, confirmed that the arrival of the delegations of the clubs participating in the tournament will be scheduled for Friday April 16, 2021.

The technical meeting is slated for April 17th while the competition will commence on 18th and ends on 1st of May, 2021.
